The deposits are suspected to be of bacterial origin and to have an influence on the course of the disease, the pain sensation and the risk of infection of the patient. In order to be able to investigate these in more detail, an extraction method was first developed.<\/h4><h4>In a comprehensive clinical study, the deposits were characterized using molecular biological and physical methods.
